The forecast for today suggested that patience would be needed but that blue skies would eventually arrive - the forecast was slightly awry in relation to when, with flying only starting early afternoon - rather later than planned. But the morning had been put to good use ahead of the anticipated weather improving on the low cloud which had greeted the early arrivals at North Hill
After a morning briefing full of optimism for flying taking place later in the day a K21, the Perkoz and a Junior were brought out of the hangar and daily inspections completed - whilst the winch and Launch Control were set up. And then it was a question of waiting and waiting, and waiting - but with the time put to good use completing some ground school briefings with some returning Trial Lesson visitors from recent weeks.

And then slowly but surely the blue skies started to appear and early afternoon Mike Sloggett and Jonathan Erskine took a met flight - after which it was on with the flying list. Mike and Stu Procter worked their way through the flying list whilst Dave Perriam looked after today’s Trial Lesson visitors.

And by late afternoon after a good but hot afternoon hangar flights were completed - thank you to all involved for the teamwork today and particularly to Sally Hender for running Launch Control and helping the instructors as DLM. - Mike Sloggett
