Today the course members gathered for what was going to be an interesting week. Eager Mark Courtney joined by James Flory for the morning briefing. It was soon apparent that today wasn’t going to be flyable.

All the course members gathered for some briefings while the pre-solo pilots went down to the simulator to practice launch failures.

Optimistically, we had a slightly early lunch in hope that the sky cleared up for some afternoon flying - unfortunately we were in England! Mark gave a briefing about ridge-soaring and James talked about ridge rules. We then gathered down in the simulator again to practice ridge soaring at Talgarth.
