What a glorious start for an October day! Clear blue sky, after a chilly overnight, cumulus clouds popping and light winds. A slight easterly initially meant a walk down the field but by half time, the wind had backed and ends were changed.
Peter Field with the help of John Sillett and later Guy Adams set to work on the flying list, and Roly Clarke and Paul Summers looked after the Trial lesson visitors. It was soarable between 14:00 and 16:00 with cloudbase at nearly 3000ft. Mike Fairclough in DFK went east to Chard and Simon Minson in SM went west to Mudford Gate.
