Wed 12th August

Wednesday started very hot and continued to get hotter during the day, we walked the two K21s, the Perkoz and a Junior to the N/W corner. There were plenty of takers for the the three gliders that where being used for solo flying, John Sillett was instructing on HCX and was kept busy all day.

There where no private gliders out today but a little bit of fetterling was going on in the background, by mid afternoon it was getting almost unbearably hot, everyone was drinking plenty and using every bit of shade that was available.

Starting early (John Street)

One of John Street's great grandsons visited the club for the first time today and enjoyed sitting in a glider.

Putting the world to rights (John Street)

There was a bit of weak thermal to be had John Sillett and Geoff Lawrence made the most of it but most flights were just circuits, everyone who wanted to fly flew, over lunch a small group were seen putting the world to rights. John Street.
