Wednesday was washed out, and Thursday didn't start quite as early as we had hoped with more rain. The simulator was in use with Mark being 'Blogs', and Mike did a briefing for the new members. But eventually the rain gave up and the cloudbase started to rise, although a few showers were still blowing through in the northwesterly breeze.

A convenient shower at lunchtime then cleared into much better air, and the afternoon gave extended soaring flights for several training circuits and solo pilots. Towards the late afternoon a street set up from the top of launch to Tiverton with several gliders exploring, although no-one ventured downwind to the coast.

Steve Fletcher from Dartmoor GS came for a spinning sortie and we welcomed a visitor Andrew Cowey from Staffordshire Gliding Club who plans to visit again on his next holiday to Devon. There was also a Trial lesson visitor who had flown many years ago at Dunstable.

We made the most of the weather window this week using all 4 two-seaters and the 2 Juniors - with thanks to everyone 33 winch launches and 5 aerotows. - J&P
