Tues 4th April - Portmoak

Tuesday was forecast to be a good wave day,  locals set  a 750 task, but turned it out to be over set due to a very mixed wave system,  some had to start their motors to get back. So we were all at the club early to rig but the weather was not playing ball, the ridge was working but rough and broken.
Wave set up early over the Loch (Simon Minson)
Then Stu KMV got into wave but headed up wind to find heavy sink and ended stuck  back on the ridge.  Pete 230 got into the same wave and stuck with it and got to 10500ft. Eric G29 got up to 8500ft, Simon SM 6500ft and Dan and Ron 711 got to 7000ft, the rest of us got stuck on the ridge and with total cloud cover went back for lunch, Matt had a site check then flew 611.

KMV meets up with SM (Stu Procter)
Then Matt came down and said there is wave to 11000ft so Stu, Simon, Rowan, Eric and Matt took off again,  the rest chose not to fly again. Then after bashing up and down the ridge again Simon got into wave from East Lowman,  then after getting frustrated in the rough air another gap opened up over the loch you needed 3000 to get into it. But Stu, Eric and Matt eventually broke free from the ridge into the wave, Simon stopping at 13200ft,  Stu stopped at 11600ft  for Gold height....
Congrats to Stu on Gold Height (Stu Procter)

Eric to 9000ft then Matt stayed trying for Diamond but gave up after it stopped working at 16500ft what a fantastic day and lots to talk about in the pub. - Stu Procter
