Day 2 of the course and the same stalwarts turned up on a gloomy morning
but by the time we had the kit out and up the other end of the field we were
able to get reasonable launches and within the hour full height. The weather
gods then smiled further and made it soarable for a while before it flattened
out mid-afternoon. In all about 34 launches for the two gliders. Progress made
by all and Mark L re-soloed, his first at North Hill.
A further bonus – Paul M drove his camper van to the launch point so we had
coffee on tap – it kept the instructors going and is to be recommended. Thanks
Paul.
It was raining as we drove home and I guess we will have to pay for the
unexpectedly good conditions of the last two days! - John
