We were hoping for a half-decent morning before the fog and rain set in later, so we started promptly with Club and Course members flying with the light south easterly wind.

By mid-morning, there had already been some light drizzle at the launch point and the Exe Estuary started disappearing in rain / high humidity.

With a stop for an early lunch and then an update from the Met Office, it was decided that we had just less than 1 hour to clear the airfield before the fog set in. So the gliders were recovered to the hangar swiftly.
