The early morning sunshine clouded over leaving patches of orographic cloud at the west end of the airfield. Some more general low cloud passed through with a weak trough. So there was a lot of grass-cutting and general fettling at the private trailers during the morning.

After an early lunch, winch launching began in an increasing north westerly breeze. The ridge however proved a bit more fickle but was OK to park on whilst waiting for the next thermal to come through.

Chris Warnes in the Junior and Andrew Logan in ASW15 enjoyed the longer flights of nearly an hour.
