After yet another washed out Wednesday, there was optimism in the forecast for Thursday, but the 'normal for North Hill' low cloud was there as usual to start with. After a little bit of work on the simulator, the sun suddenly broke through and it was all hands to getting the kit out.
The K21's found the first thermal, and then a small street developed heading towards Broadclyst that encouraged the Juniors, DG505 and 230 to enjoy some soaring. Eric G29, Paul Medlock HMS and Chris Mew LRN all rigged but rope break repair combined with lunch delayed their launches too long.

Some top cover arrived, the street disappeared, there were signs of convergence towards Honiton the cloud lowered and a line of rain passed through.
The flying list was worked through but with curtailed launches due to the lowering cloudbase.
The evening group from Environment Agency sampled the conditions but the lowering cloudbase and drizzle put paid to a good evening.
